POLIFORM:
Poliform Italy is based in Milan, and the company has showrooms throughout the world. It is
a design business that strives to develop solutions for the home, developing furniture renowned for
its technological innovation, flexibility, quality, detailing, strong and timeless design, and
durability.
Poliform was founded in 1970, evolving from an artisan business dating back to 1942. From the start,
the company has highlighted its industrial heritage, and the aim has always been to explore the full
potential of automated production-line methods, constantly monitoring change to accommodate a
growing, global marketplace.
Over the years, the Poliform range has responded to current trends, and has successfully managed to
satisfy the most varied tastes, while anticipating and interpreting new directions in the interior
design market.
In 1996, the Varenna tradename was brought into the company to specialise exclusively in kitchen
furniture. In 2006, the company launched its first collection of sofas.
Contributing to Poliform’s success has been collaborations with some of the world’s most
innovative designers and architects, including Marcel Wanders, Carlo Colombo, Vincent Van Duysen,
Paolo Piva, Paola Navone, Studio Kairos, Robert Barbieri and Robert Lazzeroni.
Poliform has found great success in a diversified business division called Poliform Contract. This
specialised area caters to large-scale international clients, from architects and designers to
international developers, completing high-end projects, including London's West End Quay, the AOL
Time Warner Centre in New York, the Presidential Chambers of the Clinton Library in Little Rock and
the Palmolive Building in Chicago.
